Featured build

AI Security X-Ray

LLM red teaming and an inline guardrail proxy. Red-teams LLM applications with garak, promptfoo, and PyRIT, mapped to the OWASP Top 10 for LLM Applications.

One prompt-injection attack, 256 attempts, two configurations

Tested against qwen3-coder:30b: the model directly vs. the same model behind the containerized guardrail.

  • Screens prompts with a DeBERTa prompt-injection classifier
  • Checks responses for data leaks with Presidio
  • Ships as a container that sits inline in front of the model

Result from testing, not a production guarantee.

AI projects

Built, deployed, and operated end to end: architecture, code, deployment, and operations.

Jan 2026 – present · Live pilot

Faron

AI-assisted network security platform

Shows small businesses which AI services their network is talking to, from passive traffic alone: no agents, no TLS interception.

  • Local-LLM alert triage (Ollama, with an AWS Bedrock option) that rejects malformed model output instead of guessing
  • Natural-language search over security data
  • 19-tool MCP server so AI assistants can query the platform
  • Every merge to main deploys automatically

AI Security X-Ray

LLM red teaming & guardrails

Red-team toolkit plus an inline guardrail proxy. In testing, a prompt-injection attack got through 203 of 256 times unprotected (79.3%) and 0 of 256 times behind the guardrail.

  • garak, promptfoo, and PyRIT, mapped to the OWASP Top 10 for LLM Applications
  • DeBERTa prompt-injection classifier on the way in
  • Presidio data-leak checks on the way out

Subjectly

AI research & learning platform

Upload documents, chat with them using retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and generate study material.

  • Qdrant vector search and seven interchangeable LLM providers
  • Bring-your-own-key plus a free hosted tier
  • Built-in research, Q&A, and synthesis agents
  • Python/FastAPI backend, Next.js web app, Flutter mobile app

AI Engineering Agent Fleet

Multi-agent automation

Eight AI coding and operations agents (Claude, Codex, OpenCode) running sandboxed on an in-house GPU server.

  • Local tool-calling agents on Ollama that need human approval before acting
  • Used daily for code changes, federal-solicitation analysis, CRM lead enrichment, and infrastructure operations

Field work · Armis Security

A major U.S. airline, from blind spots to TSA compliance

Dedicated onsite Resident Engineer behind a published case study. The airline passed its TSA AOSSP inspection within 9 months.

I built the dashboards and playbooks that enabled TSA AOSSP compliance, and I used AI throughout the engagement, from LLM-powered scripts on the Armis API that identify and classify assets and reduce alert noise, to requirements writing, dashboards, and playbooks. That work was approved by Armis and the client, and the tooling was adopted by client teams and fellow Armis engineers.

Career

Experience

  1. Oct 2024 – Present

AIQSO Founder & Principal Security/AI Engineer

AI and cybersecurity engineering (formerly Vidal Consulting).

    • Design, build, and operate AI-assisted security products and client infrastructure end to end: architecture, code, deployment, and operations.
    • Built Faron, AI Security X-Ray, Subjectly, and an eight-agent AI engineering fleet (above).
    • Built an OpenAI-compatible inference gateway on Cloudflare Workers and a multi-LLM RAG research platform (Qdrant; Claude, Gemini, OpenAI, Ollama).
    • Led a $937K enterprise IT hardware deployment at Goldman Sachs (through Configure Plus Corporation): 208 workstation bundles in a 4-day engagement.
    • Operate a 3-node Proxmox VE cluster (40+ workloads) with Ansible infrastructure as code, Cloudflare Tunnel zero-trust access, and Wazuh SIEM mapped to MITRE ATT&CK.
  2. Mar 2023 – Oct 2025

Armis Security Professional Services Engineer (Resident Engineer)

Agentless asset intelligence platform. Two-account portfolio of $4.5M–$6M with a 100% software renewal rate.

    • Major U.S. airline (published case study): dedicated onsite Resident Engineer; see Field work above.
    • Took over a second enterprise account when the prior Resident Engineer left and kept the relationship through end of contract; the client renewed.
    • Partnered with sales, product, and engineering leadership as primary technical liaison; designed and delivered technical training.
  3. Jun 2018 – Mar 2023

    Skybox Security Professional Services Engineer

Two-account portfolio of $5.5M–$7M with a 100% software renewal rate.

    • Led a full Skybox deployment and ongoing optimization for a $4M–$5M enterprise account, modeling attack surfaces across a North American enterprise network; client confidence drove a $500K–$750K renewal.
    • Regulated electric utility ($1.5M–$2M account): the client extended my contract a year and requested a second Resident Engineer; drove a $400K–$450K renewal.
    • Modeled attack surfaces and analyzed exposure using topology and vulnerability data from IT/OT endpoints, firewalls, and network devices to prioritize remediation.
  4. Jul 2014 – Jun 2018

IBM Sr. Escalation Engineer, Managed Security Services

    • Managed global firewall, proxy, and remote access infrastructure: Check Point, Palo Alto, and Juniper firewalls, Blue Coat web proxy, and Cisco AnyConnect VPN across multinational environments.
    • Conducted security assessments and audits, and led integration and remediation to align with evolving information security standards.
